Farmworker Appreciation Day

Farmworker Appreciation Day picnic flyer

The Farmworker Appreciation Day annual picnic is coordinated by the UMOS National Farmworker Jobs Program and the UMOS Migrant Head Start staff. "This picnic is our small way of showing appreciation for their efforts in putting food on our tables," states Lupe Martinez, President/CEO, UMOS.

Food, exhibits, dancers, children’s games, and music are provided free of charge. Much of the food is donated by area farmers that employ migrant workers. Approximately 300-400 people are expected to attend the picnic.
